2019-20 season

2019-20: a disrupted season

The Southport Bach Choir, like other amateur choirs, had to cancel all plans for 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The concert scheduled for 28 March when we would have been performing Fauré’s Requiem was cancelled at the last moment and our hopes of performing it later in the year were sadly  unfulfilled.

It was also very disappointing that the projected visit to Leipzig to sing in the Bach Festival was also necessarily cancelled. But there is every hope of a visit there some time in the future.

So, of the programme for the 2019-20 season which follows, only the December concert and the Come and Sing actually took place.
